Christmas Preparations

We've been busy getting ready for Christmas. We still wanted to decorate even though we'll be out of town for Christmas. We had a lot of fun decorating our first tree for family home evening and it turned out perfectly. It's so pretty. We'll be heading to Colorado Springs for Christmas this upcoming weekend and we're really excited. We hope that everyone is having a great holiday season and that we can all remember the true meaning we celebrate this holiday season. We'll post some more pictures later on this week.

Halloween

We had fun carving pumpkins for Halloween. We both love getting all messy. The spider web pumpkin was mine and Lawrence carved a haunted house.

Yellowstone

Us at Jenny Lake

This was a really cool waterfall that we could get right next to.

This was a beautiful double rainbow.

It was quite chilly in the morning, so cold that the steam from geysers made the boardwalks icy.

The first weekend of October I had a four day weekend out of school so we decided we were going to go to Yellowstone. We had tons of fun together. The mornings were a bit chilly, but by midday it warmed up pretty nicely. We went to the Yellowstone Bear and Wolf center, the Yellowstone Museum and learned about the history of the city and surrounding areas, and we went and saw the Yellowstone IMAX movie, which was really neat. We didn't see too many animals other than buffalo and elk. We got pretty close to some buffalo, probably about a foot away. Some elk were pretty close to one of the boardwalks too. We got to see the Elk Run in Mammoth Hot Springs. There were two groups of elk and it was definitely cool to see how their family groups work. On the way home we went through Teton National Park. It was beautiful with all of the leaves changing color. We stopped and learned a lot about the mountains in the Teton range and did some hiking around Jenny Lake. We found this small secluded little beach on the lake and took some fun pictures too. We hope to go back soon.

First Family Pictures

We climbed out on this log. We were literally in the middle of the river.

This is just a funny one. What a crazy husband I have.

We went and spent a weekend with my mom and sisters and my mom took our first family pictures, well other than our wedding. We went on a Sunday drive through American Fork Canyon and had a fun picnic. It was gorgeous because the leaves had started to change. At this point we had been married for a little more than a month and life was going pretty smoothly. We were still organizing our stuff and unpacking a few things, but all in all, life was wonderful.

Colorado Reception

A week after the day we were sealed in the Mt. Timpanogas temple we had a reception in Colorado Springs, Co, Lawrence's home town. We wanted all of his family and friends to be able to join in the celebrations. We were able to spend some quality time with family and friends.

Utah Wedding and Reception

The best day of our lives. August 16th started bright and early to complete the preparations for the big day. I had to be up at 3am to get my hair done and there was a crowd of girls crammed in by 5 getting their hair and make-up done. It was a lot of fun having all the girls there. We had to be at the temple by 7am and the sealing was set for 9am. It was a wonderful, spiritual experience that I will cherish for the rest of my life. The afternoon went pretty smoothly. We took pictures outside of the temple for about 2 hours and then we had a few hours to relax before completing the final touches for the reception. The reception was a lot of fun and we were glad we were able to spend that time to celebrate our marriage together with friends and family. I've created a slide show of some of our favorite pictures, enjoy!
